No-Spend-July

Okay, so I went shopping, again.

Another $300 odd dollars spent.

*shakes head*

So, for all of July I am not going to buy any item of clothing including bras, undies, socks, tees, pjs, shorts, skirts, pants, dresses or shoes. Or accessories!

I think that is almost everything covered.

Wonder how much I can save?

But so I get my fix, I may just post pictures of everything that I have bought *winks*

Three Fifty In One Night

Okay, so I will admit right now that I have a small shopping problem.

I went shopping last night, being Wednesday, and spent $350. In two hours.

At seven thirty, I was asked to leave the stores.

I bought a dress, a pair of shoes, stockings, a necklace, a wallet, and an iPhone case.

Hmm. Then tonight, I figured I needed a lighter coloured trench coat. So back I go to the shopping centre.

I bought the EXACT same trench coat that I have at home, except in a lighter colour!

There is another $200 spent tonight. [The trench, a jumper, a necklace, a hairpiece and some makeup.]

I haven't even bought the wedding present yet! Eek!

A Not-So-Perfect Shopping Experience

I ordered from ASOS both the UK and USA stores.

Just quietly I am in love with my gumboots [from the UK]. The three dresses I received not so much. The quality just isn't what I expected.

But I hadn't given up on shopping online. I love it.

So when I heard that Topshop had FREE international delivery I jumped at the chance.

I found the perfect little black dress for forty pounds and even got some makeup. It was going to be the dress that I would wear to Aly's wedding this weekend.

I ordered that on the 19th of May.

Pity it has not arrived.

I have emailed [and am about to email again!] and received no reply.

I am far from happy and honestly don't think I will purchase online, ever again.

So thankyou Topshop for totally ruining my shopping experience.

Not too happy.

So now, I am searching for a dress to buy. Fingers crossed Portmans or Forever New have something cute and wearable to a wedding.

Because I have officially lost too much weight to fit into my old little black dress.

I Went Shopping

Yeah, I know. I said I was going to stop.

No more shopping for me.

Well I needed to pick up my trench coat.

I walked past ruby shoes. Had two exact pairs of ballet flats in my hand [one brown the other black]; two pairs of tights and a white scarf. $80 later I exited the store. Happier.

Then I found myself in Myer. I was meant to be in there shopping for Aly's wedding present, but I forgot the card. I am kind of running out of time now. Eeek. Oh and I went in there for a jumper too.

I walked out after spending $38.50 with a dress. A freaking DRESS! It is coming into winter and I buy a dress.

What the fuck what I thinking?

After that I thought it'd be wise to just leave the entire complex. I was not safe in there. Neither was my credit card.

So $200 spent yesterday. Fuck.

A Little Addicted

Okay, so *ahem* I have been shopping a lot since the break up.

I am more scared to do a complete tally of just how much I have spent, but am thinking that it could easily have hit the 2K mark by now.

Easily.

I do love to shop though, but now I think it has become more like an addiction. Like its a drug and it gives me that rush of feeling happy. Wait, not happy, because I am happy, but it is weird. It is a weird feeling when you are shopping and you find something that you love and it fits.

You just have to have it. So you buy it.

Mind you I did take a few purchases back on Monday when I went to the doctors, because *ahem* they didn't fit the way I wanted them to and no I didn't try them on.

However, that didn't stop me from spending over $300 at ASOS. *looks away*

So for now, I am going to try and limit my spending. As best as I can.

My Bad

So, I wandered through the shopping centre this afternoon after I had eaten my delicious dinner.

I had full intentions to buy myself a new handbag from Collete and then stumbled upon Cotton On Body.

Hmm, I thought and stepped inside for just a moment.

Pfft.

Who am I trying to kid?

I was in there for a decent thirty minutes, at least.

Ten undies, three tees and two shorts later I walked out.

$130 I had spent.

Immediately I had buyers remorse. I don't think it matters how damn cute those undies or shorts are [even if one of them does have cute owls on them] I probably shouldn't have spent that much.

I should never be allowed money in my bank account.

Ever.

On The Hunt

I need a new pair of ballet flats.

As in desperate need. A black pair.

Every pair that I try on just do not fit. Personally I am convinced that I am an 8.25 but that size doesn't exist.

I also am wanting to find a gym.

Cheap preferably. Close to central would be nice.

While I figure at the moment I walk around 40 minutes a day, at the slowest pace. I kinda want a little more.

Maybe I should just look for a place that has access to a gym. *winks*

Any suggestions?

I Heart Shopping

I am a fan of shopping.

Totally not a secret.

Ask me what I want to do, especially when I have a nice little bank balance, and shopping is up the top. Actually it is always up the top!

So today when I went shopping I purchased:

A cute ring.
A mirror.
A pair of sunnies.
A trench coat [layby-ed].
Three shirts for the boyfriend.
A present for Aly [which I cannot say because she could read this and I want it to be a surprise. She might blog about it].

And I totally could have continued to spend, but stopped.

I am a good girl.

Boobs, Who Needs Them?

Sometimes I love my boobs. Othertimes, like today, I hate them.

I found this gorgeous dress from Jeanswest. No, that price marking of $4.99 is correct.

Bargain, right?

Anyway, so I went into my nearest store today while shopping to see if they had any size fourteen in stock.

There was a size eight and you guessed it, a size fourteen. The only two left.

I quickly grabbed it, thinking I had just found the prettiest of dresses.

I slip it over my head instantly, then realise there is a zipper on the side.

I attempt to zip it up with only failure.

I slip it back off, rezip it up before repulling over my head.

So far, so good.

That is until the dress reaches my boobs.

Ugh. No amount of flattening or squishing is helping. I almost cannot breathe.

I unzip the zipper.

I am almost positive you would have all been able to hear me swearing as I put that five dollar dress, back on the rack.

Yes, It Is True.

I only own one handbag.

The other day while I was getting ready for the blog meet. I picked a floral print skirt and that would mean I couldn't take a bag, because *ahem* my bag is a pink floral print.

Not meshing too well with what I had chosen I just took my wallet and phone. You know. The essentials!

Sure I own canvas totes but none that really fit with what look I had going on.

I would love to go shopping and buy a tonne of handbags, but I just don't have the money too.

How many handbags do you own?

I will just wait here while you go and count.

What do you think is a good number and any particular styles I should look out for that I can team with everything?

When we were shopping at one of the shopping centres the other day, I stepped into Colette [which is one of my new favourite stores!] and found this gorgeous bag:

A Shoe Surprise

I love shoes. It is no secret. Only just the other day, I blogged about my wish list lust which held not one but three Louboutin's!

Then yesterday I mentioned that I have some pretty new shoes. Both Sass and Tina got very excited over this! So I thought I just had to share them with you.

Upon further inspection, I found that a lot of the blogs that I follow love shoes. Chantelle from Fat Mum Slim in particular. Eight pages worth of shoe goodness on her blog, well according to the search! Melissa from Suger Coat It had about the same.

Sass from Life of the Bees tells it straight: "I have a serious money spending issue (though I really don't think that spending money on shoes should be frowned upon. They are a necessity. A necessity I tell you)" {taken from post titled Bribary}

Melissa from Suger Coat It shares a little problem she was having in December last year, whereby she was down to just three dressy shoes! I wonder how many shoes she has now after her shopping trip?

Then, Chantelle from Fat Mum Slim shared a gorgeous little post about needing to buy Lacey her first proper shoes! Oh boy, were they cute!

Tina from Tina Gray {dot} Me wrote about the problem with buying shoe racks with the idea of keeping everyone's shoes tidy. Didn't work for her, does it work for you?

Even all the people that share images on We Heart It love shoes! Over 2500 images! Holy smokes!

Chantelle, also shared two shoes; her converse and these cute bow shoes. Love.

Danimezza went shoe shopping recently, my favourite kind of shopping, and picked up these babies. I literally just realised, upon closer inspection that the first pair of shoes I own! I bought them last year on a shopping trip! Great taste!
